P.S. You can search OFFA.org site for the dogs registered name to find their ratings.

excellent hip ratings for danes are few and far between... and for euros even less than that. a reputable breeder would have OFA papers posted as part of their website, considering what that would mean for a breeders status. if they arent apart of the breeders website then they should have a copy apart of the puppy paperwork. and OFA ratings can be linked to your dogs AKC registration, meaning every pedigree your dog is a part of will have his/her rating listed with his/her name forever...again, a reputable breeder would have had that done as well, considering all the time and money put into that little OFA paper, a reputable breeder would have done all this.

I noticed you bred your Dam to a Polish Import (Bam) Isn't he owned by Kadan Danes? You also stated that his hips were radiographed excellent. Were you told this by Karen at Kadan Danes, or did you actually see proof? I purchased a pup from her and was verbally told both parents were health tested (OFA, thyrod, heart etc). It is also stated on her website. that all dogs are health tested before breeding. I asked for proof, copies of paperwork, but never received any. I was hoping since you said his hips were excellent, that maybe you have some proof to back up her statement. It would make me feel a whole lot better about the pup I recently purchased. Thanks for your time.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to teach my 4 1/2 month old dane girl to walk down steps safely!!! It is 15 steps up & down to the 2nd floor and she is a bulldozer at mach speed with no manners or safety concerns for herself or those on the stairs with her. This is a new problem to me because I have always lived in ranchers & bungalows with few steps and my golden retrievers instinctively knew to walk down the left side of the stairs and to do it slowly. I have tried putting her on the leash to teach her but that has proven to be even more hazardous. Any advice or suggestions???

We have a Male Mantle 16 month old....call name Pharaoh, who came from Schaffer Danes in West Virginia. Seen your add in the paper and thought I would check out your site. I am saving it to my favorites!!!! You did a great job. When we look for another, I will be sure to check you out for pups! Pharaoh will be getting all his checks done soon. Wish us luck.
